Umpqua Singers auditions
Auditions for the 2013-2014 Umpqua Singers ensemble will be April 30 in Whipple Fine Arts Center Room 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. Call backs are on May 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. Students who want to audition must come prepared with a solo selection in any musical style.
The Umpqua Singers, who perform 45-50 engagements per year both locally and internationally, are one of the premiere vocal jazz ensembles in the Pacific Northwest. This group performs a broad range of musical styles ranging from traditional swing to contemporary R & B and has recorded 14 CDs. They have been featured on FOX, C-SPAN, and XM Satellite Radio.
